by Christopher Porto on September 15, 2011

In conjunction with the release of its latest round of annual reports, the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) hosted a global forum on changing business practices in the face of climate change. The Forum, themed “Forging Sustainable, Profitable Business Growth,” was hosted by Paul Dickinson, Executive Chairman of CDP,and gathered leaders from around the world via video teleconference call to share best practices and lessons learned on the road towards a low-carbon economy. The CDP Global 500 2011 Report: Accelerating Low Carbon Growth was sent to the world’s top companies on behalf of 551 investors representing US$71 trillion in assets. Over the eight years that CDP has been sending out surveys collecting climate change information, it has become a critical ingredient in the shift to sustainable business practices.
